Terms of Service

You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age required in your country) to use the Service. You are responsible for ensuring that your use complies with applicable laws. You may not use the Service if you are barred from doing so under applicable law.

Account sign-in, session management, and related security features are provided through Clerk. You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure and for all activity under your account. You may not share, sell, transfer, or provide access to your account in a way that misleads others or harms the Service.

You agree to provide accurate account information and to keep it reasonably current. If we believe your account has been compromised, violates these Terms, or creates legal, security, or operational risk, we may limit, suspend, or terminate access.

You may create a public profile with a username, bio, avatar, and other profile fields made available in the product. Your username, profile information, posts, comments, room activity, and other public interactions may be visible to other users and visitors.

You may not impersonate another person, organization, team, public figure, moderator, or hazeldew operator. We may reclaim or restrict usernames, avatars, or profile details that are misleading, infringing, abusive, inactive, or otherwise harmful.

hazeldew allows users to create posts, comment on discussions, vote on content, save posts, and participate in rooms. You are responsible for the content and activity you submit, including text, images, videos, links, usernames, profile details, votes, reactions, reports, and other interactions.

You retain ownership of content you submit. To operate the Service, you grant hazeldew a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free, transferable, and sublicensable license to host, store, reproduce, modify for formatting, display, distribute, and make your content available through the Service. This license is limited to operating, protecting, improving, promoting, and providing hazeldew.

You represent that you have all rights needed to submit your content and grant this license. You understand that deleting content may not immediately remove copies from backups, caches, moderation records, logs, embeds, quoted material, or places where others have already seen or interacted with it.

You may upload images, videos, and avatar media where the product permits it, subject to size, format, storage, and security limits. Media may be processed, optimized, scanned, signed, cached, or stored with third-party infrastructure so it can be served reliably.

You may not upload media that is unlawful, exploitative, abusive, malicious, infringing, or designed to bypass technical restrictions. We may remove media, block uploads, or restrict accounts if media creates risk for users, infrastructure, legal compliance, or the integrity of the Service.

Rooms and match-related discussion areas help organize sports conversations. Room norms may vary, but all activity remains subject to these Terms and any product rules or moderator guidance shown in the Service.

You agree not to post content or engage in conduct that:

• Is illegal, threatening, harassing, hateful, abusive, defamatory, or sexually exploitative
• Targets people based on protected characteristics or encourages violence or self-harm
• Infringes intellectual property, publicity, privacy, or contractual rights of others
• Contains malware, phishing, spam, scams, deceptive links, or unauthorized advertising
• Impersonates others or misrepresents your affiliation with a team, league, brand, or person
• Manipulates votes, comments, reports, rooms, rankings, or other features in bad faith
• Uses bots, scrapers, automation, fake accounts, or coordinated activity to abuse the Service
• Attempts to dox, stalk, intimidate, or reveal private information about another person
• Interferes with moderation, security, infrastructure, or other users' enjoyment of hazeldew

Sports discussion can be passionate, but you must treat other users with basic respect. We may remove content, limit distribution, restrict features, or suspend accounts at our discretion. We do not guarantee that all posts, comments, media, or rooms will be reviewed.

hazeldew may provide reporting and moderation tools. Moderators and operators may review reports, user activity, content, account history, and technical signals to enforce these Terms, protect users, comply with law, and preserve the Service.

Moderation decisions may include warnings, content removal, reduced visibility, locked features, room restrictions, account suspension, account termination, or referral to service providers or authorities when appropriate. We are not obligated to explain every moderation decision or to preserve removed content indefinitely.

The hazeldew name, branding, and software (excluding your user content) are owned by us or our licensors. These Terms do not grant you ownership of hazeldew, our code, designs, marks, logos, product names, layouts, or other proprietary materials.

You may not copy, modify, reverse engineer, scrape, crawl, resell, sublicense, or create competing datasets from the Service except as permitted by law or with our written permission. If you believe content on hazeldew infringes your rights, contact us with enough detail for us to review the issue.

The Service relies on third parties such as Clerk for authentication, hosting and database providers, Cloudflare R2 or similar storage for media, analytics, security, CDN, email, and infrastructure vendors. Third-party terms and privacy practices may apply to those portions of your experience.

We are not responsible for third-party services, websites, links, embeds, browser extensions, app stores, or integrations that we do not control. See our Privacy Policy for more information about how data is handled.

hazeldew may change over time. We may add, remove, redesign, limit, or discontinue features, rooms, media tools, moderation tools, post types, APIs, or access to the Service at any time. Some features may be experimental, incomplete, or available only to certain users.

We try to keep the Service available, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access, error-free operation, data availability, delivery of content, or preservation of every post, comment, vote, profile, room, or media file.

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available." We disclaim all warranties to the fullest extent permitted by law, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. Sports discussion on hazeldew is user-generated and is not professional, betting, financial, medical, legal, safety, or other expert advice.

We do not endorse user content, guarantee the accuracy of posts or comments, verify all identities, or promise that the Service will meet your expectations. You use content, advice, links, media, and interactions at your own risk.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, hazeldew and its operators will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, data, content, media, account access, reputation, goodwill, or business opportunities, arising from or related to your use of the Service.

Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the greater of (a) amounts you paid us in the twelve months before the claim or (b) one hundred U.S. dollars (USD $100), if applicable. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so parts of this section may not apply to you.

To the extent permitted by law, you agree to defend, indemnify, and hold hazeldew and its operators harmless from claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses arising from your content, your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of another person's rights.

You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for violations of these Terms, legal or security reasons, inactivity, product changes, or operational reasons. After termination, you may lose access to your account, posts, comments, saved items, rooms, media, and profile information.

Sections that by nature should survive termination will survive, including user content licenses needed to operate the Service, intellectual property protections, disclaimers, limitations of liability, indemnity, dispute terms, and any obligations that accrued before termination.

These Terms are governed by the laws applicable where hazeldew is operated, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, unless consumer protection laws in your jurisdiction require otherwise. Before bringing a formal claim, you agree to contact us and try to resolve the issue informally.

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will post the revised version on this page and update the "Last updated" date. Continued use after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. If changes are material, we may provide additional notice through the Service or by other reasonable means.
